The Backstory
Our founder, Rob Siltanen, cut his teeth as creative director at TBWA\Chiat\Day. There, he wrote “To the Crazy Ones," the celebrated commercial that launched Apple's Think Different campaign. He's also proud to have created some of the most successful advertising in Nissan's history, including the highly-awarded "Toys" spot and the introductory campaign for the first-ever Nissan Altima.
In 1999, Rob opened Siltanen & Partners, secure in his conviction that an independently-owned, creatively-led shop could produce outstanding marketing results for businesses of every type. In the early going, a young S&P launched a number of start-ups that were sold for fortunes small and large. S&P also made advertising history, of sorts, when CBS developed a prime time sitcom based on a character we created.
Twenty years later, having served everyone from regional brands to elite Fortune 500 companies, S&P maintains the ethos it started with: Every brand deserves the highest degree of strategic thoughtfulness and creative firepower. And only when our clients win, do we win.

We stress test our positioning by applying it to different media formats and creative executions, oftentimes leveraging our in-house production, digital, and studio art capabilities. Further collaboration with the client, focus groups, and media/PR partners allows us to finalize a campaign that satisfies key stakeholders and delights audiences.

Our Offices
Siltanen & Partners is located in a coastal suburb of Los Angeles, minutes away from the sand. Famous for its surfing and beach volleyball, the area is an in-the-know vacation destination and home to pro athletes from the Lakers, Dodgers, and L.A. Kings.
In 2009, we overhauled a former construction warehouse and turned it into a sandbox for thinkers, doers, writers, producers, artists, and creators of all types. The space has three fully-equipped edit bays that our in-house production company uses to animate, record, mix, and master, while a design studio allows for product photography, content creation, and more.
Other office amenities include foosball and ping pong tables, beach-cruiser bicycles, a two-tap kegerator, and an outdoor lounge and patio area. Of course, visitors are also likely to encounter a few of S&P's four-legged employees (folks are welcome to bring their dogs in, so long as they play nice with others).
